Member Spotlight: Maggie Chen
Human Resources Manager
Western University, Class of 2023
Maggie Chen initially came to Project Snapshot through the LinkedIn post that started it all: the original “COVID-19 Interest Survey” that founder Sebastien Chiu shared with his network. After connecting with Sebastien, Maggie collaborated with him on the creation of the internship program, and actually initially held the role of Business Development Manager. As the team grew, however, so did Project Snapshot’s need for a Human Resources Officer.
As a “people enthusiast,” Maggie joined Project Snapshot to work with a motivated and dedicated team of individuals who are committed to solving the world’s more pressing issues. She is eager to connect students with opportunities that are not only relevant to today’s society, but will also propel their personal and professional growth. “I’m ecstatic to help students be prepared for their future, post-pandemic.”
Maggie’s dream job would be something that intersects consulting, education and law. She also wishes to embrace her cultural roots and use her trilingualism in English, Mandarin and Chinese to her advantage. If given the opportunity, she aspires to work across continents in Asia and North America with educational institutes.
If she’s not “taste testing” as the demo tables in Costco, you can probably find Maggie roamin IKEA, Lowe’s, or Structube putting together her latest DIY interior design idea. Her latest creation is a marble island for her kitchen.
Fun fact: Maggie can bark like a dog “pretty realistically.”
